Kate (she/her) has dabbled in the yoga world for over a decade, but fell in love when she discovered Yin Yoga in 2021. She is thrilled to add the practice of Yin Yoga to an ongoing list of meditation, breath, and movement systems that she continues to study and practice, and which inform her classes.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2011, body anatomy and physiology are frequently at the forefront of her classes. However, her primary goal, as a Yin Yoga teacher and as a massage therapist, is to help students and clients explore the relationship with their bodies, and thereby deepen their connection to self, spirit, and the divine.
Kate is a perpetual seeker. Having studied Spirituality and Religion as well as Environmental Studies at McGill University, she has always been deeply interested in the ways people find connection and meaning, and she believes that the body can hold the key, and practices such as Yin Yoga are powerful vehicles of transformation.
She studied Yin Yoga and Meditation with Sagel Urlacher in 2023, and then deepened her studies in the spring of 2024 with Cathy Waselewski and Hannah Waselewski at PYP.
She is grateful to the many teachers she has been honored to learn from over the past 13 years, and the opportunity to share these impactful practices with others.
