Lauren Znachko
Vinyasa | yin | Hatha | queer movement
Lauren (they/she) is a co-owner of the Portland Yoga Project with Jess and Elizabeth. After many years of teaching at other studios, non-profit organizations, schools, rehabilitation centers, on mountains, beaches, and beyond, Lauren is thrilled to have landed home at PYP. Their love for and commitment to the PYP community is because of the ongoing and evolving experiences of radical welcome, genuine inclusivity, rigorous inquiry, and dedicated community. They feel lucky to be on a team of leaders of teachers who are aligned with those values.
In addition to vinyasa flow, Lauren is certified to teach trauma-informed yoga and yin yoga. She has worked with a number of studios and organizations to help provide affirming, accessible and safer spaces for people to experience healing, resilience and rest.
Lauren’s classes have an element of playfulness that values every body’s specific experience. They integrate safety and precision along with compassion and curiosity. She is a dedicated student of yoga, functional movement and philosophy and is always pursuing knowledge that will enhance her student’s connection with themselves.
