After our first year at the Costa Dulce Eco Lodge, we are returning in 2025 for another week soaking up the sun with your co-facilitators Elizabeth and Victoria.
In the cool of the morning, we will spend our time before breakfast in workshop-style asana breakdowns which will refresh and refine your yoga practice. Lead by Elizabeth, who guides yoga teacher trainees in their anatomical understanding of our shapes every year, be prepared to leave with new skills and approaches to how you flow.
In the heat of the afternoon, Victoria will lead us in breathwork, guided meditation, and gentle practice to deepen our relationship to the less physical side of our yoga practice. We will explore the deeper philosophical themes of our practice, why we show up, and how we want to apply the roots of yoga in our everyday life.
Opening and closing circles that include journaling and sharing will anchor us as we enjoy the immersive experience of sleeping under vast stars next to the gorgeous beach in San Juan Del Sur.
Included in the price is accommodations, transportation to and from Costa Dulce, three meals a day and pre-breakfast coffee, tea, and fruit, and either a spa treatment or a surf lesson. Optional trips into town, jungle walks, and expanded spa experiences are at your fingertips, and reasonably priced (although we always recommend overtipping our generous hosts).

Costa Dulce is located within a tropical dry forest half of the year, which transforms into a lush jungle during the rainy season. They are environmentalists at heart, and as such do our best to minimize their impact on our surroundings; which we share with monkeys, sloths, snakes, iguanas, turtles, birds, and bugs.
Blessed with beauty on all sides, you will find a network of walking trails to explore, enjoy and immerse yourself in nature. Find the secret lookout where you will be surrounded by the serenity of the environment, collect shells in “mermaid cove” or take a dip in the tidal pool. This playground is full of places to discover!

In addition to the private bungalows and cabins, Costa Dulce consists of several inviting shared spaces. All accommodations are built around their central dining area, where something tasty is always being whipped up in the Dulce Cocina.
Directly below you will find Casa Ola; our lounge/ bar with library and beach view terrace, as well as their awesome new pool and the spa area.

We will be offering two daily yoga classes (except on arrival and departure day) in the yoga shala which is located directly above the dining area with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean & jungle or in the secondary yoga shala/lookout, and favorite meditation spot, which is a short walk away positioned on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
Your morning practice will be a workshop-style asana breakdown which will refresh and refine your yoga practice with Elizabeth.

The shala is fully equipped with quality Manduka mats, wooden blocks, bolsters, and straps.

Just steps away from the bungalows and cabins is a beautiful public, but a secluded beach. You will find the surf school is stationed here along with a little locally owned restaurant serving up fantastic margaritas and authentic Nica food.
The beach is equipped with hammocks, sun chairs and lots of shade. Down the south end of the beach, the river Escameca Grande flows into the ocean. This is a great place to go paddle boarding (SUP), spot local wildlife, or enjoy a freshwater swim.
The beach is generally very safe, sandy and without hidden rocks or strong current, which makes it great for surfers and water enthusiasts of all levels

Where do I fly into?
Available airports: Managua MGA (Nicaragua) Liberia LIR (Costa Rica), and San José SJO (Costa Rica)
How does transportation to and from the retreat work?
If you opt for our transfer service, once you’re at the airport one of our professional private drivers will pick you up directly at the airport and bring you all the way to us.
What kind of food will be served?
Enjoy healthy fresh vegan and gluten-free meal options at Costa Dulce Retreat.
La Dulce Cocina takes pride in serving you healthy and delicious local food. We pay extra attention to selecting locally grown fresh ingredients so our menu changes with the seasons.
They will happily cater to most dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, carnivores, celiacs and food allergies.
What if I’m traveling solo?
No problem! Pick one of our single rooms available or pick a shared room that you love. We have seen some of the best friendships develop on our past retreats!
What if I need to cancel?
Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, no exceptions. Refunds will be processed if you cancel before November 22, 2024 (minus 6% for processing fees). You can protect your investment by purchasing trip insurance through a 3rd party provider.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! After your deposit is made, please email us and let us know you’d like to set up a payment plan. Balance must be paid in full before January 9th, 2025 and will be split into even installments each month. Installments will be processed on the 22nd of each month.
